Bonepony “Stomp Revival”
Capitol Records, Hollywood, California, 1996
Description
Bonepony was a new band based in Nashville who described their acoustic-based rock sound as “acoustic huge.” Because this was their first album, we had the luxury of not having to show them (an unknown band) on the cover. Our design direction was determined by turn-of-the-century poster art for southern revival gatherings and tent shows. The typography and line cuts were found at a printer that specializes in vintage wood typefaces.
