The brief was to design a poster to promote a touring “British Council Exhibition of London Contemporary Illustration” in South America. The posters would be hung mainly in art schools and public buildings. The solution was to interpret the title of the exhibition with archetypal images of London. The poster (A1 in size) was produced by combining a mixture of individual black-and-white drawings, graphics, photographs and handwritten text rendered into three special colors, and by mixing and layering to create the final image.
