Ella Minnow Pea is the heroine of this self-titled fable, set in a small town where language is revered above all else (and consequently the plot unfolds through written correspondence). We created a cover that plays on her name as an ode to the author’s play on the alphabet: LMNOP. The inspiration for the series was a set of flashcards used to teach children to spell; it seemed an appropriate starting point for a book all about letters.
