Mouse and Kat and the Evil One
Stuart Sharpe, San Rafael, California, 2004
Description
The clients wanted an exciting story about themselves, in a visually arresting graphic format. The challenge was, “Brand us with an instant history.” My design approach is to steal from as many places as possible and mangle through faulty interpretation. The design solution was to create a world with its own rules, where every element dictates the next. The illustrations in the book were originally created as posters. The size was reduced and layout altered slightly to accommodate the smaller book format. The impact has been huge, all the way from validation of creativity for the artist to business PR value.
