One Million
Think Studio, New York, New York, 2009
Description
New Yorker editor Hendrik Hertzberg wanted to make the newsworthy, large and rather abstract number more concrete for people. Each of the 200 pages features 5,000 dots, and a few of the dots are called out from their places in numerical order with a little piece of statistical information (like 60,760 miles of blood vessels in the average human body) that add up to really bring the concept home.
Juror Notes
One million dots, 5,000 dots per page. Surprisingly original way of presenting this type of information.
