The Radical Thinkers series is made up of critical works from Verso’s extensive catalogue. To unify each of the separate titles we used a rigid palette of line and type, developing an illustrative design system that tries, in varying ways, to stay true to the spirit of each work.

A fresh, minimal approach to difficult academic subject matter. Favorites include Ethics’ dramatic plunge and Adorno’s stemless, fly-away notes. They function beautifully as a set while retaining their individuality.
