How To Fix A Broken Heart and Make A Spare

How To Fix A Broken Heart and Make A Spare

Tré Seals, Accokeek, Maryland, 2017

Description

How To Fix A Broken Heart and Make A Spare is a self-initiated project of Tré Seals. It all started in middle school when he began making small Lego™ pieces (hearts, four leaf clover, Pac Man, etc.), putting pins on the back, and turning them into a fashion accessory.

During his freshman year of college, he was pretty shy and unsure of how to meet people. So he decided to wear these Lego™ pins as a way to draw people in and start a conversation. And it worked. He became known as "The Guy with the Lego Heart" to those who didn't know his real name, and his friends would become angry whenever he decided not to wear one. After selling them as a side hustle during his college years, Tré decided to create a book and a DIY kit, so people could make their own.
