Florentine Nights

Florentine Nights

Mateus Valadares Estúdio, São Paulo, Brazil, 2017

Description

The graphic design of this book seeks to translate and visually recreate the context of the narrative, whose pleasant reading has the mystery of death as a background. Artist pictures—which appeared in ballets and operas of the 19th century, similar as the characters of the stories—illustrate the book fragmented by geometric sharp shapes, drawing a parallel with the quite keen prose from Heinrich Heine.
