Peek...Aren’t You Curious
Passing Notes, Inc., Oakland, California, 2007
Description
Children allow us the opportunity to peek back into our own childhoods, into our parents’ and even grandparents’ childhood experiences. In caring for our children, we can begin to understand our parents from a new perspective. We are able to peek forward, live in the magic and ponder how our children will experience time.
Delighting in the senses, PEEK, a children’s boutique, gracefully begs you to know more. It conceals the obvious and awakens hidden details. It is a glimpse, a sense of innocence and purity that suggests an undirected playfulness. Reminiscent of a period when logos were drawn by hand, the mark bears a refreshing take that is pure and unpretentious. The stationery and packaging suite become the mark itself. A hole that allows for interaction and curiosity, the design offers the viewer an alternate way of seeing. The brand enhances the notion of sight and begs the question: aren’t you curious?
