Wine Labels
Eduardo del Fraile, 2009
Description
This book is a tribute to label designing in the wine sector. The book is almost a life-size reproduction. It was reduced to 10 percent so that it would fit in the typical Ikea bookshelf. The covers are made of actual cork, the same as traditional wine corks. In spite of the narrow format of the book, it is meant to open completely thanks to its solid binding. The edition includes last-century designs and current labels, as well as a careful selection of the bottle formats most widely used in the wine sector.
Juror Notes
All of the production choices—from the cork cover to the extremely vertical trim size—seem perfectly natural and smart. They really drive the design and layout of the book.
